Those who overcome every defeat, who believe in themselves and will think only by thinking, who believe in themselves, who never let their spirits get killed, those who win by losing are called Bajigars. These lines for those who admit defeat even after seeing failure repeatedly, but make the passion to convert it into victory and conquer that defeat. Akshat Kaushal is a similar story.
In 2017, Akshat Kaushal achieved 55th rank in the Civil Services Examination in his fifth Attempt. At the same time, he has also failed in UPSC aspirants four times before. Only after that he became the topper in the fifth time. That is, I won the defeat and became an IPS officer. A time had also come that Akshat had decided to leave the UPSC’s path after the fourth failure. Then his three friends explained to him and those few words proved to be the golden words that changed his life.
After failing four times, accepted defeat
Akshat Kaushal tells during the interview that he started preparing for the UPSC exam from the year 2012. In the first year, he took coaching and gave the first test but he was unsuccessful. Similarly, Akshat kept on paying attention year after year, but success did not break even with him. Akshat never gave up for four years and kept learning from his mistakes each time. Then the failure in the fourth atempt broke him.
Desperate after the result, Akshat went out of the house to change the wind, the family wanted to stop fearing for untoward incident, but they did not agree. Then three friends of Akshat said something to Akshat that they all forgot and started preparing for UPSC again. Akshat’s friends became his strength. There were 17 days left in the pre-examination of Akshat’s fifth exam and in these 17 days, Akshat studied day and night with one heart and mind, and this time he was not only selected but also selected by very good numbers.

Akshat tells that he made many mistakes during the preparations due to which he got to face the failure four times. Regarding this, Akshat advises that before taking the exam, understand the nature of the exam, what the UPSC exam wants from you. What is seen in the pre, what is seen in the mains and how do they want to test you in the interview. Realize this need and prepare accordingly. Do not be over confident about any subject.
